Submission Requirements

    • Vista Report – proof of permit completion/occupancy – must be between December 1, 2022, and November 30th, 2023

      • New Floor Plans
      • As-Built Floor Plans
    • Photography:
      • 6-10 Interior Images
      • 1-2 Exterior Images, 3-4 Exterior Images for New Build
      • Renovation and Tenant Improvement only: up to 6 before renovation images
    • Up to 50-word narrative for each photo
    • Feature Sheet/Specification Document
    • Project Synopsis as outlined in the Criteria

Cost of Build Out

Cost of Build-Out to INCLUDE:

  • Appliances
  • Permanent fixtures
  • Interior upgrades

Cost of Build-Out to EXCLUDE:

  • Window coverings
  • Furnishings

Floor Plan Drawings

Drawing Submission Criteria:

  • Format:
    • Black line floor plans on any size sheet provided the file does not exceed 4MB
  • Drawings:
    • Proposed Drawings must be provided
    • Proposed Drawings must include the square footage
    • Drawings can of any scale, provided text is legible (See sample)
    • Rooms must be clearly labeled
    • Rooms must include overall sizes
  • Graphic and Presentation Standards:
    • Drawings must abide by graphic and presentation standards
  • Identifying Information:
    • Information identifying designer, firm, builder, client and/or address must be removed/omitted
    • No identifying logos
    • Project name is acceptable to be shown on drawings

 

Photography

Photography Submission Criteria:

  • Number of Images: Submit up to 10 interior professional photos of the following spaces:
    • 6-10 digital images that best show the interior of the project
    • 1-2 exterior images
    • Up to 6 additional “before” images must be included
  • Photo Titles: Label each photo with a corresponding title.
  • Submission of Photos: All photos must be submitted at the time of entry.
  • Renderings: Only actual photographs of the spaces are allowed. Renderings are not permitted.
  • Identification: Photos can not include any visual identification of the builder, designers, etc.
  • Resolution and Size: Photos must be high-resolution (300 dpi) color photos, with a maximum file size of 4MB, and approximately 8″ x 10″ in dimensions (mandatory).
  • Judging: Submissions will be judged based on the submitted photos.
  • Finalist Opportunities: Finalists whose project completions were close to the submission deadline will be given an opportunity to provide professional photos before the CUBE Awards Gala. These photos will be used for CICBA marketing and featured during the gala and ceremony.

Feature Sheet/Specification Documents (mandatory)

Project Synopsis – up to 200 words describing the total scope of the project including square footage (mandatory)

Describe any unique architectural features (optional)

List any other aspects of the project that would be beneficial for the judges to know (optional)
